CHARITY
Jesus said to love our neighbor as ourselves. He also said to show mercy to strangers. He lived this out by loving and healing marginalized people. Jesus modeled that every person deserves dignity and respect.

Jesus-followers adopted His teachings, making a social pact to care for each other and the needy among them. United in heart, early Christians shared everything they had with each other. (Acts 4:32) No one was in need because they sold their property to provide for those less fortunate. (Acts 4:34)
This led to a cultural shift that continues today, with Christians establishing orphanages, schools, food programs, and other charitable organizations worldwide.
Following Jesus's instructions, Christians established a culture of charity that reaches nearly every country in the world.
