MEDICINE
In the ancient world, there were no hospitals for ordinary people, and most people couldn't afford to see a doctor when sick.
Jesus taught that to follow Him, you have to serve and dignify others, including the poor and sick.
Modeling Jesus's example, early Christians began adopting unwanted children and setting up houses to care for widows and orphans. They founded the first large-scale hospital, and today all of the top 20 hospitals have Christian roots.
Sincere Jesus-followers lived out His revolutionary vision for serving others, giving us world-class research hospitals, life-saving vaccines, safe surgeries, compassionate patient care, and many other improvements to our lives.
